Ready, Set, GOAL!!!

Ready, Set, GOAL!!!
Setting & getting goals using the Law of Attraction

By Cheryl Vallejos

Cheryl VallejosAre you tired of setting New Years resolutions or goals and not getting results?

Many people avoid setting New Years goals or resolutions because in the past they have not followed through or gotten the results they wanted. Why is this? Have you set goals that were too big for you to achieve or that you didn’t really believe you could achieve? Have you just gotten “too busy” with life to add anything new to the mix like new actions to work on new goals? Or maybe you got disappointed when the results didn’t come easily or you had some setbacks, and didn’t persist!

There is a way to set goals that takes the hard work and effort out of the process. As you go through the typical goal-setting steps below, consider using the Law of Attraction to make goal setting more effortless and effective. The Law of Attraction states that what you focus on you attract into your life. That means that where you put your attention or what thoughts you hold most in your mind, will attract outer circumstances and tangible results into your life that correspond to the thoughts.

Tips to Outclass Your Competition– Techno-Manners for 2007
by Gloria Auth

Gloria Auth, Business CoachThe following is an e-mail between my son and me.

Me to son: Just got back today. Met with my client yesterday for a few hours and then spent the night. Talk to you later. Love, Mom

Son to me: Spent the night with your client? Love, Son

Obviously I left out a few details. Yes, e-mail is extraordinarily quick, easy and convenient, and at the same time, a time-eating monster and a venue for miscommunication.

Reducing e-mail overload requires netiquette knowledge and taming your senders. Mind your e-mail manners and re-train your senders with these tips:

What’s Your Time Worth?

I love it when Tom says what I’d like to say in 200 words or less!

WHAT’S YOUR TIME WORTH?

Tom LetourneauI read a story about a flight attendant who gets $43.00 an hour serving first-class passengers from San Francisco to Hawaii and I wondered how much that was in a yearly salary. Based on a 40-hour week for 50 weeks a year – 2,000 hours – that comes out to $86,000 a year.

Here are some more yearly-salary to hourly-rate computations: If you make $25,000 a year, every hour of your time is worth $12.50. If you make $50,000 a year, your time is worth $25.00 an hour. $75,000 a year means an hour is worth $37.50. And $100,000 a year is equal to $50.00 an hour.

At $75,000 a year, a fifteen minute trip to the copier costs $9.38. Even at $50,000, waiting for someone to pick up the phone costs 42 cents a minute. When your party puts you on hold for “just a second,” it can add up and cost you big time. Even reading this Ezine (about a minute) an executive making $75,000 spent 62 cents.

In a year’s time, you can save a whole lot of real money by delegating some of your more mundane tasks to an assistant. Your time is valuable. Use it wisely.
