Here are few of my favorite resources:

"Hi, I'm Barbara Berg, and I'm the author of How to Escape the No-Win
Trap, and What To Do When Life is Driving You Crazy! And let
me tell you, when life is driving you crazy, you'll want to call Terry
Green. She is the finest assistant I've ever had. And, I'll tell you,
even though she is across the country from me ... I'm in California,
she's in Ohio ... I don't think I'd have any hope in getting further
along with my website, speeches and everything else I'm doing without
Terry...Let me tell you that she's a wonderful
person, and professional, and she's always there. So, Terry, I just
want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to give you a
testimonial, as you help me every day. Thanks again!"

This
issue of Speak Up and Make Money! is a little bit late this month; but I
have a great excuse. I just returned home this morning from sunny San Diego
after spending the last four days hanging out at the 2007 NSA Convention. What a turn
out! As a Virtual Assistant, almost all of my contact with my clients
and everyone else I meet is just that ... virtual. The majority of my interaction is limited to email,
instant messaging or phone conversations, so having the opportunity to
spend 4 days at an event with 1,100+ speakers and a host of exhibitors
and vendors
has been a real treat. It was a wonderful opportunity to make lots of
new connections, follow up with some long overdue face-to-face
connections, meet some of my favorite vendors, and even run into a couple of my clients.
I have to say a huge "Thank you very much!" to Susan Levin of
Speaker
Services for letting me tag along and hang out at the Speaker
Services booth. Here is a photo of Susan Levin and Jack Barnard at the
booth.
When the last issue of Speak Up &
Make Money hit your inbox, I was just returning from another great
Speaker Summit held in Los Angeles May 3-5. Susan Levin of Speaker
Services and Jack Barnard outdid themselves with an outstanding program
and a stellar line-up of presenters. It was an amazing weekend!
The wealth of information from the summit was so good that Susan pulled
in a group of her presenters and resources for a special Speaker Summit
teleconference series in June ... and if you missed the teleconference
too, never fear ... the recordings are available! Visit

to find out what you missed and how you can get your hands on the
recordings.
This
issue's feature article is by Karen Susman, Speaker, Author, Coach.
In her article, Twelve Questions to Ask Yourself
Before a Presentation,
Karen shares 12 simple questions
to
ask yourself before each presentation to create a more effective
presentation and reduce stress .
I hope you enjoyed this issue of Speak Up and Make
Money! I really am interested in your feedback and comments, so
please let me know
what you think, as well as what you like and/or
dislike about the ezine. Do you have an event
coming up that you'd like me to include in the next issue? And don’t forget … for more great articles and

Twelve Questions to Ask Yourself Before a
Presentation
By Karen Susman
― Speaker, Author, Coach
Before every
presentation, big or small, ask yourself these questions. You'll
create a more effective presentation and reduce your stress. Many of
these questions work well with one on one presentations, too. So,
the next time you go in ask for a raise or to interest your customer
in buying the new X4Z02 Snazzarama model, go through these
questions.
- Do I really
know this audience and what it wants and needs to hear? If not, ask
questions of your host and participants until you do. Do this way in
advance of planning and right before your session.
- Do I have
just three to five main points? Don't overwhelm your audience with
everything you know. Besides, if you are invited to speak again,
what will you have left to say?
