Why hire a VA instead of a temporary employee?

Unlike temporary employees, Virtual Assistants are self-employed, home-based specialists who form long-term partnerships with our clients in a dedicated effort to help you successfully manage and grow your business. Because we are partners in business rather than employers/employees, we have a vested interest in the growth of your business. Our success is measured by your success!

A temporary employee has no vested interest in your success. They require a period of adjustment and training in office procedures and company policy for each assignment, and an adjustment period that you pay for!  Factor in office space, equipment, lunch & coffee breaks, idle time, plus the agency's fee, and a temporary employee ends up costing you about three (3) times the cost of hiring a VA. With a VA, there is no adjustment period, and you pay only for the actual production time of your specific project. We save you time and money.

Wouldn't a full-time employee cost less than a VA?

No. With a VA, you aren't paying for salary and benefits, Social Security or payroll taxes.  There is no supervision or training necessary, and no need to purchase office equipment, general office supplies, or provide office space. The total cost for an employee can be as high as three (3) times the cost of a VA - You do the mathClick the Salary Wizard on the right to see just how much the average salary for an employee is in your particular area. Of course, that won't include taxes, benefits, equipment or the additional overhead necessary for a full-time employee. Because of the level of skill and expertise, the comparable title for a VA will usually be "Office Manager" or "Administrative Assistant III."

Find the salary and benefits for your local area.

What are the benefits of hiring a Virtual Assistant?

Since we are self-employed, independent business owners and not an employee of your company, you pay no employee benefits, insurance, taxes or other expenses associated with hiring an employee. You pay only for the time it takes to complete your project; not down time, lunch or coffee breaks, vacations, sick days, etc.

We are your remote office. We save you time and money by taking care of those every-day tasks or administrative duties so that you don't have to.

What is a Master Virtual Assistant (MVA)?

How much does a VA typically charge?

On average, VAs charge anywhere between $30 - $60 per hour, based on the complexity of your particular project, the type of service performed, and the level of skill required for that project. You pay only for the actual time it takes to complete your project. VAs provide their own office space, equipment, and software; and because you aren’t paying the added expense of benefits, employee taxes, etc., hiring a VA is a cost-effective, timesaving answer to your administrative or office support needs.
